HIS STORY
Dan Covert is an Integrative Fitness & Wellness Coach, Certified Functional Strength Coach, and Certified Personal Trainer with over 12 years of experience.
Starting out as a skinny, weak “hardgainer” in the gym, Dan tried literally every bodybuilding program, diet, and supplement he could find, yet spent years barely making any progress when it came to building muscle mass, losing stubborn belly fat, and keeping up with the strength gains he watched his peers all seem to make so effortlessly.
Every training session left him feeling worse than he did when he walked in the gym, and he developed debilitating pain in his shoulders, wrists, and lower back. His injuries eventually progressed to a point where he considered shoulder surgery and giving up on his training goals altogether.
THE TURNING POINT
A relentless performer himself, Dan was determined to find a way to achieve the body he wanted, so he sought out some of the best strength coaches and physical therapists in the world, trained and interned with them, and methodically applied all of the knowledge he could find.
He went on to gain 30 lbs. of lean muscle and get in the best shape of his life, heal ALL of his joint pain, and earn his stripes as an accomplished powerlifter (something he never dreamed was possible), achieving a 500 lb. deadlift at 181 lbs., all-natural.
Passionate to share the things he learned that literally changed his life, Dan began taking on clients of his own, quickly becoming known in his local area as the guy who specializes in helping those who struggle to get gains and deal with chronic joint pain. He has also worked clinically with various physical therapists and chiropractors, applying his extensive knowledge of functional strength and mobility training to help patients use movement as medicine.
As Dan grew older and his own fitness and wellness journey progressed, he experienced setbacks due to unexpected health issues. This left him with hormonal imbalances, an area that so many men struggle with as a result of the onslaught to our health we face living in the modern world. These issues took a toll on his body and the progress he worked so hard for in the gym, as well as his mental health, an area he was no stranger to struggling with in his younger years.
After being failed by several medical professionals across various specialties to identify and correct the root cause of his issues, Dan applied his knack for solving complex problems and connecting dots others often overlook to take back control of his health. Today, he feels even better in his 30s than he did in his teens and 20s, and he helps his clients achieve the same results.
Dan applies a deep and practical knowledge of the emerging field of neuroendocrinology, thoroughly investigating hormones and other comprehensive lab markers, coaches
cutting-edge hormone replacement protocols when necessary, and works with providers to help guys advocate for safe and effective treatment strategies that support their bodies in conjunction with their overall well-being.
DAN'S MISSION
I help guys who are struggling to build the body they want, dealing with chronic joint pain, and just not feeling their best day-to-day, because I've been there.
High-performing, relentless guys like us push hard in every area of life, but our bodies can struggle to keep up.
This often shows up as:
-
Slow or stagnant muscle growth
-
Stubborn belly fat
-
Chronic joint pain
-
Poor recovery
-
Fatigue and burnout
-
Mood fluctuations or anxiety
The truth is, most fitness advice is passed down from genetically gifted and "enhanced" athletes, marketed to keep you on a hamster wheel of always needing to buy the next best program or supplement to achieve your goals. What these guys do rarely works for average, natural guys, and it often leads to beating up joints and wreaking havoc on hormones in the process.
On top of that, healthcare providers rarely or inadequately even investigate the potential root causes of your issues before throwing the next semaglutide injection, pain management pill or gimmick, or antidepressant at you.
I learned all of this the hard way from my own personal experiences—and I overcame all of it.
Through years of studying and real-world application, I developed an integrative approach that addresses the root causes of what's holding you back, combining principles of exercise science, kinesiology, nutrition, endocrinology, and neuroscience.
This isn’t just about looking your best—it’s about looking, performing, and feeling your best across all aspects of your health and overall life.
If you’re fed up with:
-
Spending countless hours in the gym but seeing minimal progress despite “doing everything right”
-
Trying every fad diet under the sun with no success
-
Suffering from chronic, nagging joint pain
-
Being failed repeatedly by medical professionals to get to the bottom of why you just don’t feel your best despite knowing intuitively that something is “off”
...You’re in the right place.
